Regardless of which US state you live in, Americans are starting to see an evolution as more businesses slowly reopen during this latter phase of the coronavirus pandemic. No one can deny that the face of retail has changed since late February. Certain retailers were obligated to completely shut down due to their “non-essential” status. Others were challenged to radically modify their operations to accommodate social distancing orders. The restaurant industry was hit particularly hard due to the unfathomable contagion rate. Dining-in was quickly eliminated and only restaurants who could organize and execute curbside pickup, if not drive-thru, remained in business.
There’s nothing quite like live entertainment. Watching a concert on TV simply doesn’t compare to seeing the band in-person. Modern dance performances come alive and are far more impressive when you watch them in the recital hall, as opposed to a video recording. And anyone who has seen a stand-up comedian in a comedy club can tell you that there’s something about the energy of the audience that adds to the hilarity of the show. People love live entertainment.
